OBJECTIVE: To compare the effects of two different samples of serum and plasma and different test methods on the measured values of blood biochemical indexes and blood glucose in rats.
Methods: The blood glucose value of the whole blood of the same rats was measured with a blood glucose meter, and then the serum and plasma samples were tested for routine biochemical indexes.
Results: In serum and plasma samples for 19 routine biochemical tests, there were significant differences in ALB, TP, ALP, CHOL, URIC, GLU, Mg, LD, and Ca (P<0.05). in="" the="" comparison="" of="" detection="" there="" was="" no="" significant="" difference="" p="">0.05). There were significant differences in the analysis of blood glucose detection results between different samples and different methods (P<0.05).
Conclusion: Different samples and methods have differences in the detection of some biochemical items in serum and plasma, and there are differences in the results of blood glucose detection by different methods and samples.
