OBJECTIVE: To detect and analyze the characteristics of stress-loaded chronic heart failure rats by electrocardiogram.
Methods: Twenty male SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group (S group) and heart failure group (HF group). In the heart failure group, the abdominal aortic coarctation method was used to prepare the model, and the sham operation group was only threaded without coarctation. The limb leads were detected by lead Ⅱ ECG and the data were statistically analyzed.
RESULTS: At 10 weeks after operation, ECG detection showed several characteristics: Heart failure group (HF group): ① Heart rate, P wave amplitude and P wave duration were significantly increased (P<0.05); ② R wave amplitude was significantly greater than that of S group rats (P<0.05); ③ The displacement of J point of ECG was significantly increased (P<0.05), while the height of ST was significantly decreased (P<0.05).
Conclusion: The ECG characteristics of rats with stress overloaded heart failure are obvious. As a non-invasive method, ECG detection can effectively evaluate rats with stress overloaded heart failure.
