Objective: To analyze the genetic diversity of specific pathogen-free Jinding duck population using microsatellite markers.
Methods: Microsatellite markers were used to analyze the genetic diversity of 71 individuals in the SPF Jinding duck population.
Results: A total of 119 alleles were detected at 17 loci in the SPF Jinding duck population, and the number of alleles on each microsatellite ranged from 3 to 13; there were 13 loci in the SPF Jinding duck population ( PIC > 0.5) showed a high degree of polymorphism, the average heterozygosity was (0.5816±0.0142), and other loci showed moderate polymorphism. Only 5 loci were in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, and the remaining 12 loci were significantly deviated from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, reaching a very significant level (P < 0.01).
Conclusion: The SPF Jinding duck population has abundant genetic diversity, which meets the genetic characteristics of establishing a closed group. This population can be used to continue the establishment of a specific pathogen-free Jinding duck closed group.
