【Animal Modeling】-Analyze the genetic characteristics of 7 strains of commonly used inbred mouse core groups in Shanghai using multiple fluorescent STR technology

OBJECTIVE: To compare the genetic characteristics of 7 strains of commonly used inbred mouse core groups in Shanghai area.

METHODS: The 48 pairs of microsatellite primers with rich polymorphisms were optimized to form 11 groups of multiplex fluorescent PCR primer mixture systems. The core groups of 7 strains of inbred mice from two major experimental mouse suppliers in Shanghai were analyzed. The DNA samples were genotyped and detected. Data analysis was performed using genetic analysis software.

Results: The 7 strains of inbred mice from the two major suppliers were all homozygous for 48 microsatellite loci. The results of STR loci of mice in the same population were consistent. There are differences in STR loci between each other. However, the genetic distance between inbred mice of the same strain and different populations is relatively close to the genetic distance between different strains of mice. In the UPGMA clustering tree, the different The populations were first clustered into one group. The C57BL/6 mice were far from the other 6 strains of mice.

Conclusion: There are STR loci differences among the 7 strains of inbred mouse core groups from different suppliers in Shanghai.
