Objective To study the consistency and correlation of left ventricular function parameters measured by micro-CT, aortic cannulation and echocardiography, and to evaluate the scientific application value of micro-CT in evaluating left ventricular function.
Methods The cardiac function of 10 pairs of normal and heart failure rats was detected by micro-CT, aortic cannulation and ultrasound, and the left ventricular function parameters: end-systolic volume, end-diastolic volume and ejection fraction were measured by cardiac function analysis software. The micro-CT results were compared with the results of aortic cannulation and echocardiography.
Results All 10 pairs of rats were examined, and there was a good correlation between micro-CT, aortic cannulation and echocardiography to measure left ventricular function parameters.
Conclusions Micro-CT can be used to evaluate left ventricular function and is a feasible solution to accurately measure ventricular function.
