Objective: To study the infection of porcine circovirus type 3 in BALB/c mice.
Methods: Female BALB/c mice were divided into two groups. The experimental group was infected with PCV3 tissue virus, and the control group was inoculated with the same dose of PBS. Blood was collected for fluorescence quantitative PCR detection and ELISA detection. After the experiment, all animals were euthanized and necropsied, and the heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney, brain and lymph nodes were sampled for fluorescence quantitative PCR detection, and sliced for histopathology. Physical examination. Select PCR-positive tissues for PCV3 CAP gene sequencing analysis.
Results: PCV3 histovirus infection of mice did not cause obvious clinical symptoms and pathological changes. The virus could be detected in the serum at the early stage of infection, and the organs with the highest virus content were the liver and spleen, and the nucleic acid sequence of mice infected with PCV3 did not change. Antibody levels in serum gradually increased with the increase of infection time.
Conclusion: PCV3 can infect BALB/c mice and proliferate in mice. The results of this study provide a reference for the pathogenicity research and prevention and control of porcine circovirus type 3.
