OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of probiotics on gastrointestinal function in rats undergoing exhaustive exercise.
Methods: 40 SD male rats were randomly divided into a quiet control group (NC), an exercise control group (ME), a quiet administration group (NCY), and an exercise administration group (MEY). The ME and MEY groups were exhausted for 6 weeks. Training, the speed is 19.3m/min, the slope is 5o, the training is once a day, 6 days a week. The daily gavage concentration of NCY and MEY groups is 107CFU/mL probiotic solution 10.0mL/(kg d). 6 weeks of force After the exhaustion training, the levels of gastrointestinal hormones ghrelin, PYY, CCK, GLP-1, MTL and GAS in the serum of the rats were detected, and the expression of AQP4 in the gastric and colon tissues of the rats was detected by RT-PCR and Western blot methods.
Results: Serum levels of ghrelin and PYY in the ME group were higher than those in the NC group (P<0.01), while the levels of CCK, GLP-1, MTL and GAS in the ME group were lower than those in the NC group (P<0.01). Serum ghrelin and PYY were lower than those in ME group (P<0.01), while CCK, GLP-1, MTL and GAS contents were higher than those in ME group (P<0.01); serum ghrelin in MEY group was higher than that in NC group (P<0.01). 0.05) and lower than ME group (P<0.01); serum PYY content of MEY group was lower than ME group (P<0.01); serum CCK content of MEY group was lower than NC group (P<0.05) but higher than The ME group (P<0.05); the serum levels of GLP-1, MTL and GAS in the MEY group were higher than those in the ME group (P<0.01). The gastrointestinal tissue AQP4 mRNA and protein expressions in the ME group were lower than those in the NC group (P<0.01). <0.01 or P<0.05); the expression of AQP4 mRNA and protein in gastrointestinal tissue of rats in NCY and MEY groups were higher than those in ME group (P<0.01 or P<0.05).
Conclusion: The changes of gastrointestinal hormone content and the increase of AQP4 expression in rats caused by exhaustive exercise are closely related to the supplementation of probiotic solution, suggesting that probiotics may be involved in the secretion of gastrointestinal hormones and the process of water metabolism.
