OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of intermedin and adrenomedullin on cerebral microcirculation in rats with focal cerebral ischemia.
Methods: The middle cerebral artery occlusion method was used to establish a rat model of cerebral ischemia, and 40 SPF male SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: cerebral ischemia model + normal saline [CI+NS] group, CI model + ADM treatment In the (CI+ADM) group and the CI model+IMD treatment (CI+IMD) group, laser Doppler measurement was used to monitor the changes of microcirculation perfusion on the brain surface.
Results: There were significant differences in the microcirculation perfusion volume on the brain surface of the CI+NS group, CI+ADM group and CI+IMD group (P<0.05). The perfusion volume of microcirculation was higher than that of CI+NS group and CI+ADM group.
Conclusion: IMD can improve cerebral microcirculation in rats with focal cerebral ischemia, and the curative effect is better than that of ADM.
