【Animal Modeling】-Effect of Feilongzhi blood extract on oxidative damage in hyperlipidemia myocardial ischemia mice

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of the blood extract of Feilongzhi on oxidative damage in hyperlipidemia myocardial ischemia mice, and to preliminarily explore the mechanism of TAE on cardiovascular protection.

Methods: Male KM mice were selected and randomly divided into control group, model group, simvastatin group, high-dose TAE and low-dose groups. Except for the control group, the rest of the groups were free to drink milk instead of water to induce hyperlipidemia. At the same time, the corresponding drugs were given by gavage, once a day, for 28 consecutive days. 72 hours before the end of the experiment, isoprenaline hydrochloride (Iso) was subcutaneously injected three times to create a myocardial ischemia model. Detection of mouse body weight, electrocardiogram, heart and liver index, myocardial water content, serum total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein (HDL), low density lipid Protein (low density lipoprotein, LDL), superoxide dismutase (superoxide dismutase, SOD), malondialdehyde (malondialdehyde, MDA), glutathione peroxidase (glutathione peroxidase, GPx) activity.

Results: TAE can improve the ECG changes of myocardial ischemia in model mice, reduce body weight, inhibit cardiac and liver indices, and reduce myocardial water content; decrease serum TC, TG, LDL-C content, increase serum HDL-C content; decrease serum MDA content content, increased serum SOD, GPx activity.

Conclusion: TAE may play its role in protecting cardiovascular by regulating the metabolism of oxygen free radicals and improving oxidative damage.
