Objective: To verify the application effect of venipuncture with fluorescent venous indwelling needle in dark environment through animal experiments.
Methods: Simulating different light and brightness environments, venipuncture was performed on canine veins with fluorescent venous indwelling needle and ordinary venous indwelling needle, respectively, and the puncture success rate and puncture time were compared.
RESULTS: There were significant differences in the success rate and puncture time of two kinds of venous indwelling needles in the morning and evening light group and the low light group (P<0.05).
Conclusion: The use of fluorescent venous indwelling needle for venipuncture in the environment of morning and evening light and low light has the advantages of improving the success rate of puncture and shortening the puncture time.
