Objective To discuss the establishment of 3D reconstruction model of minipig lungs and the application of 3D printing model.
Methods Four Bama miniature pigs were subjected to general anesthesia for pulmonary CT angiography. The data were obtained by using MIMICS software to reconstruct the tissue structure of the lung segment, and the 3D-printed solid model of the pulmonary vasculature was used.
Results The three-dimensional model reconstructed based on CT angiography data clearly showed the anatomical structure of the 3-4 branches of the pulmonary blood vessels and bronchi in miniature pigs, and showed the lobe fissures and some intersegmental planes, which could be rotated and zoomed arbitrarily.
Conclusion Using 3D reconstruction and 3D printing technology, the anatomical structure model of the Bama minipig can be successfully created, which provides a basis for comparative medical research and training materials for thoracic surgery.
