Objective To establish a stable and high-success rate rat model of 70% hepatectomy with dual hepatic arterial blood supply under the microscope.
Methods A total of 76 rats were included in the study, 40 in the training group and 36 in the modeling group. The training group simulated surgical operations to optimize perioperative management; the model group underwent 70% hepatectomy (left and middle hepatic lobes) + hepatic dual arterial blood supply operation under microscope. Success rate and 1-week survival rate.
Results Through the training group simulation operation, the learning curve was overcome. The operation time of the modeling group was (65.3±6.56) min, and the vascular anastomosis time was (11.1±2.53) min. There was no obvious side injury during the operation, and the blood loss was (0. 6±0. 21) mL. After 1 week, the successful rate of modeling was 88.9% (32/36); the modeling was successful, and the rats were in good condition after operation.
Conclusion It is complicated to prepare the rat model of 70% hepatectomy + LDABS under the microscope, but after a certain period of microscopic skills training, through the improvement and innovation of the surgical technique, especially the vascular anastomosis and perioperative care, the model is successful. It has high rate and strong repeatability, which lays a foundation for further research on its application in liver regeneration, acute liver failure and liver transplantation.
