【Animal modeling】-Experimental method for establishing the full-thickness skin graft model of Wistar rats

Objective To introduce an experimental method for establishing a full-thickness skin grafting model in Wistar rats, and to improve the success rate of skin grafting in Wistar rats.

Methods 12 Qingqing-grade Wistar rats, male, 3 months old, weighing 300-330 g, were weighed and anesthetized, skin preparation and labeling, rat immobilization and disinfection, full-thickness skin excision and trimming, and full-thickness skin A full-thickness skin graft model was established by the experimental procedure of replanting the slices and taking measures to avoid rat gnawing and scratching.

Results All 12 Wistar rats in this group survived the lateral chest skin grafts, and no skin graft infection and necrosis occurred. After the operation, the rats ate normally and could move freely. After feeding for 1-2 months, no abnormal death occurred in the rats.

Conclusion The experimental method established in this experiment is simple and effective, and provides a specific experimental method for related research.
