Objective To establish a cynomolgus monkey model of hyperlipidemia.
Methods The cynomolgus monkeys were induced by high-fat diet, and serum total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), triglyceride ( TC) index, and analyze the change trend of its blood lipid index.
Results After 4 months of feeding the high-fat diet, the TC, HDL and LDL of the model group were significantly different from those before the experiment (P<0.01). TC was significantly increased after 8 months of feeding the high-fat diet, Compared with before the experiment, the difference was extremely significant (P<0.01); after modeling, compared with the normal control group, the TC, HDL, LDL and TC of the high-fat diet group were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was extremely significant (P<0.01).
Conclusion In this experiment, TC, HDL, LDL and TC in the model group showed an increasing trend, especially TC and LDL were significantly higher than the normal reference value of cynomolgus monkeys, indicating that the cynomolgus monkeys in the model group had high cholesterol and high and low density. The characteristics of lipoproteinemia, an animal model of cynomolgus monkey hyperlipidemia was initially established.
