OBJECTIVE: To comprehensively evaluate the improved method for establishing myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury model in rats.
Methods: Forty-five SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: rapid operation group, conventional thoracotomy group and modified group, with 15 rats in each group. Rapid operation, conventional thoracotomy, and improved methods were used to create rat myocardial ischemia-reperfusion surgery models, respectively, and rat hearts were collected for observation by TTC+Evans blue staining. The damage situation was analyzed and compared in three aspects.
RESULTS: Compared with the rapid modeling and open-chest modeling, the success rate and survival rate of the modified method were improved, and the thickness of myocardial infarction area was uniform.
Conclusion: The improved method for building myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury model has high feasibility and can be popularized and applied.
