Objective To establish the model of hyperlipidemia cynomolgus monkey.
Methods The cynomolgus monkeys were induced by high-fat diet. The serum total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and triglyceride (TC) were measured at 4,8,12,18 months, respectively.
Results The TC, HDL and LDL of the model group were significantly different from those before the experiment after 4 months of feeding with high-fat diet (P<0.01); TC increased significantly after feeding high fat diet for 8 months, with a significant difference compared with that before the experiment (P<0.01); After modeling, TC, HDL, LDL and TC in the high-fat diet group were significantly higher than those in the normal control group (P<0.01).
Conclusion In this experiment, TC, HDL, LDL and TC in the model group showed an increasing trend, especially TC and LDL were significantly higher than the normal reference values of cynomolgus monkeys, indicating that cynomolgus monkeys in the model group had the characteristics of high cholesterol, high and low density lipoprotein, and initially established the animal model of cynomolgus monkeys with hyperlipidemia.
