Objective: To provide an ideal animal model for the study of new therapeutic methods of endometriosis.
Methods: 64 SD rats with sexual maturity, non pregnancy and regular estrous cycle were used to carry out autologous endometrial transplantation in peritoneum and subcutaneous with "knife cutting method" during estrous period. The modeling of the two transplantation sites was compared 4 weeks after operation.
Results: The overall success rate of autologous endometrium transplantation during estrus was 93.3%, of which the success rate of peritoneal transplantation was 51.7%, and the success rate of subcutaneous transplantation was 88.3%. The difference was statistically significant; There was no significant difference in the volume of ectopic lesions between the two sites.
Conclusion: The success rate of establishing rat endometriosis model by "knife cutting method" is higher, and the success rate of subcutaneous transplantation is higher than that of peritoneal transplantation.
