2. Summary of 2019 Fund Project Evaluation Work of the Ministry of Mathematics and Science

Strictly handle high-similarity projects: In order to maintain the principles of fairness and impartiality of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, to ensure the effectiveness of funding, and to prevent plagiarism of other people’s applications or the use of funded projects to repeat applications such as scientific misconduct, the Natural Science Foundation of China The similarity check of the application form began in 2014. For high-similarity application projects with better communication evaluation opinions, the similarity comparison materials and the opinions of the Ministry of Science will be provided to the conference evaluation experts for reference by the expert group in decision-making. During the review period, each scientific office briefed the expert team on the project involved. After verification and discussion by the expert group, none of the above projects have received funding.

The main project application received 7774 items, 121 of which were not accepted. The main reason is that the applicant or main participant's job title information is inconsistent, the application is missing pages or items, the main participant's resume is missing, and the supporting unit or cooperative research unit is not covered. The official seal, the non-original or the name is inconsistent with the official seal, etc. There are 7481 applications for the Youth Science Foundation project, 66 of which are not accepted. The main reasons include the inconsistency of the applicant's job title information, the lack of pages or items in the application, the failure to provide supporting materials, recommendation letters, mentor consent letters, informed consent letters, and ethics The committee proves that it did not fill in the funding period according to the guidelines. There are 1208 applications for regional science fund projects, 41 of which are not accepted. The main reasons include the inconsistency of the applicant's professional title information, the lack of pages or items in the application, the failure to provide supporting materials, recommendation letters, mentor consent letters, informed consent letters, Ethics committee certification, and failure to fill in the funding deadline in accordance with the guidelines.
6. Summary of the 2019 project evaluation work of the Ministry of Engineering and Materials Science
